Merry Christmas, Mealtime Minimalists! This week, as we emerge from Christmas feasting and lean into New Years celebrations with a little too much sugar in our bellies and wine on our breath, a lighter and simpler menu is in play… knowing we’ll surely be “filling in the cracks” with holiday treats in tin cans 😉
I’m rightly excluding Christmas day (which most definitely deserves its own meal plan post) from this week’s meal plan, so this week will be a bit truncated. So, here’s what’s on deck for the first 6 days of Christmas:
Meal 1: Roasted Turkey Breast, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, and Salad (Tuesday, Dec. 26)
Meal 2: Spaghetti Squash and Meat Sauce (Wednesday, Dec. 27)
Meal 3: Baked Italian Chicken Thighs, Broccoli, and Brown Rice (Saturday, Dec. 30)
This week, Thursday will be our “leftovers” night, and of course… frozen pizza and salad for dinner on Friday evening.
On Sunday, New Year’s Eve, Rob and I will be checking out a new restaurant in Cincinnati – Kitchen Social – before heading out to the movies at the quaintest little theatre in Mariemont; Will report back about our experience there! We’re excited to get out on a New Years Eve date, knowing our girls are in good hands with their grandparents. Hopefully they won’t be up until midnight!
